Little Gate Supported Employment is a charity supporting adults and young people with learning disabilities, autism or both to gain skills, confidence and independence through training and employment. We work with individuals, families and employers to create inclusive opportunities and pathways into paid work.

What We Do

Little Gate Supported Employment helps people with learning disabilities, autism or both across East Sussex to train for, find and thrive in paid employment. Through personalised support, practical training and strong employer partnerships, we create opportunities for people to build skills, confidence and independence.

Our Programmes

We offer a clear Supported Employment pathway, with opportunities at every stage.
Individuals can begin their journey with work training at Little Gate Farm, developing confidence and practical skills.

Young People aged 16-24, can continue their learning through Little Gate College.

As skills grow, both trainees and students can move into Supported Employment or Supported Apprenticeships, with ongoing support to help them succeed long term.

Specialist college programmes supporting young people with learning disabilities, autism or both to develop skills for employment and independent living.

Helping individuals gain real work experience, recognised qualifications and a pathway into paid employment with tailored support.

Providing hands-on training in a supportive environment where trainees build skills, confidence and work readiness.

Supporting people with learning disabilities, autism or both to find and sustain meaningful paid employment with ongoing, personalised support.

Who We Support

We support adults and young people with learning disabilities, autism or both, across East Sussex and surrounding areas, recognising that everyone has individual strengths, goals and potential. Our tailored Supported Employment approach ensures each person receives the right support at the right time. 

Trainees

We provide supported employment training, real work experience and personalised support to help trainees build skills, gain confidence and move into paid work. 

Families and Carers

We support families and carers, helping you feel confident about future opportunities and outcomes, using clear communication and signposting. 

Employers

We help employers across East Sussex and surrounding areas, build inclusive workplaces by matching the right person to the right role, with ongoing support for both employee and employer. 

Volunteers

Our volunteers are an essential part of Little Gate. They help us, and our trainees, to achieve so much more than we otherwise could. 

Supporters
